History at Blackwell is designed to inspire in pupils a curiosity and fascination about the life of people who lived in the past. Through the teaching of history, pupils gain a coherent knowledge and understanding of Britain’s past and that of the wider world. Pupils develop the skills of enquiry, investigation, analysis and evaluation which helps to prepare them for the future by encouraging them to think critically and develop their own opinions.
